I snuck around town this early morning and collected some branches for a gym. Not from people's properties but .... From the graveyard!!! LOL!! And some other public spots.

I collected spruce and eucalyptus branches and I already had some guava and bamboo lying about.

I've already dismantled an old stand-up fan to use for the base.

Now for the big wash and scrub :31:

Looks like an awesome bundle. I am sure Percy will enjoy what ever design you come up with. I am waiting on hubby to go and collect me some branches so that I can make Bundii's gym. I have a rather large pile of PVC that I started a gym with but Bundii has decided that she does like the feel of vet wrap on her little tootsies. Oh well back to the drawing board.

It will be interesting to see what you come up with for a play gym.

I haven't used most of the woods you collected, but have used the guava. guava works very well and holds up forever. Your lucky to find some you can cut. Most folks would freak out if you asked to cut their guava tree, LOL. BTW i find the battery powered sawzall works great for cutting perches in low profile mode.

Actually, the guava wood was easiest to obtain ;). Guava's grow wild here and I have a friend who just goes for a walk near his home and chops me some branches. Out neighbour also has a guava tree in his garden and he gave me some nice branches last week when he trimmed his tree.
