holy cow....I had my new baby lovebird on my shoulder during dinner.
doesn't she take off and flew 40ft!....it's 40ft from our eating area to our living room window where she landed.
that's pretty good for a bird who has her wings clipped.
when I met the woman today, we met outside in the parking lot at Pet Smart, when I didn't see the bird I asked her where it was.
she lifted her hair and Violet was on her shoulder.....I just about had a "poopy fit!"...thank god she didn't fly off!!!
I politely mentioned that I felt more comfortable with the bird in my carrier.
she said she wouldn't fly off cause her wings were clipped....well surprise!...birds can still fly with their wings clipped, I'm thankful Violet chose not to fly in the parking lot, and chose to test her wings inside our house.
