Who knew we could love a lil GCC so much?

So we (I) brought home our lil Rio about a week and a half ago, much to my husbands displeasure, well we are in love! It is so funny, we are happily married and have a 3yr old son and a dog, so its not like we were 'missing' anything in our lives, I just decided that I wanted a bird and did ALOT of research and decided on a GCC. Anyways....even my husband who was NOT happy about me getting a bird loves this little guy! I just can't believe how much fun he has been, from watching him take a bath and look like a drowned rat, to him flicking strawberry and other fruit everywhere, to him hanging upside down like a bat! He is just so entertaining, I knew he would be a great addition, but had no clue exactly how much pleasure he would bring our family! Thanks to everyone on here who has great information and advise, it has been much apprecated, and now I totally understand how someone cand quickly turn into a "crazy bird person" how can you not?!

Oh my gosh Riio! Your story sounds soooo much like mine! My husband also didn't want me to get a bird, but now he loves my Rio too! I am absolutely in love with my little bird buddy, and my friends tease me for being "bird obsessed"!
