Rainbow Lorikeet
Hi. It's probably nothing but my recently adopted baby rainbow lorikeet has a small white dot at the tip of it's beak. It is slightly lifted, kind of like a bump. He is only 4 weeks old and he had it since i got him about 3 days ago. His brother does't have a small white bump like him and that is what worries me. Does anyone know what it is? I was thinking it may be a egg tooth that still hasn't fallen off but since his brother doesn't have it it may no be a tooth. Any thoughts?

Appart from that small bump he is pretty normal. The rest of the beak is ok, he is hand fed three times a day and I haven't seen any unusual activity. I still haven't had any accidents with him either.

At his age he should have lost the egg tooth awhile ago already which that is where it's at. Perhaps he bumped into something?

I guess just be very cautious and watch for anything that would indicate that bump is getting larger? Hope it heals quickly with no issues. Cute little thing! Congrats.
