Hi everyone, I am a proud owner of a lovely little pineapple conure I adopted at 1 year of age called Bella. Recently I have been minding my friends green cheek conure called kiwi. I have been minding him for 3 weeks and I have noticed a white mark growing on his beak, I have been researching and i think it may be due to rubbing his beak but I wanted to get some other opinions.

It started a few days ago and has been getting worse, I have noticed he does tap his beak against his cage and rubs it against it, I was not sure if that was a sign of aggression or nervousness so I tried distracting him with puzzles and treats. He has a great diet I have been keeping him on the pellet mix his owners pre prepared and feeding him the same fruit and vegies I give my little girl (she looks fine and displays no white mark or any mark so I don't think it's diet related) his poos seem of normal consistency and colour and he eats well. Any suggestions as to what this could be and what I should do? I want to do the best by him while he is in my care and I'm a little concerned for him :rainbow1:

Looks like it's just from rubbing or tapping on the bars of the cage to me.

I'm sure some more experienced conure owners will chime in when they can.

Bella looks like a yellow sided green cheek to me. Is her beak light or black? Usually Pineapples have real light colored heads.
