My cockatoo beak is ashy white all the time. How do i get it back black? He is 7 years old and, the last time i seen it black is when i for him 6 and a half yrs ago.

you can out coconut oil on his beak but it is rather normal for cockatoos to have ashy beaks as they produce a lot of dander

I don't have a cockatoo but I was thinking along the same lines as owlet. Most of the cockatoos at a sanctuary where I volunteer have white on their beaks to some degree.

And then some seem to have lighter beaks anyway:

So very well stated, fellow Parrot Snobs!!
The reality of natural heavy feather powder contamination!! Common!!

I think I recall reading that a cockatoo beak should be dull and dusty in color. The feathers and the bird are healthy if they’re making powder down and dust.. Unhealthy if not making powder down.
