Which one?

We have been looking into adding to our flock. We have decided to get a new species and have 3 in mind.. its down to either a ringneck, a plum head parakeet, or a rosella. I have not had any of these before but have friends that have ringnecks and been around rosellas before (eastern) My question to you is, which one would you recommend and why? If you would like to share any personal experiences to help me pick, that would be great! Thank you!

I've never had any of those, but I've seen IRNs on YouTube and they sure have a cute talking voice!!

Ringnecks are beautiful birds... They do go through a biting stage, which is called 'bluffing'.. Many people get afraid of their bite at this time, and rehome the bird.

Max, my Alexandrine, is the biggest bird of the ringneck family, and according to research also the most stable.

I would get either a handraised ringneck or a handrasied Alex...

If not handraised or have been in an aviary for some time, they're very difficult to tame, because they are very afraid, and will move to the back of the cage...

These birds need constant interaction to stay tame.

Ive had two Ringneck's before (well looked after them for a friend for a few months), one of them were VERY bitey, while the other was very cuddly. None of these birds were hand raised. They can be very loud but not as loud as my Alexandrine. But I would say they are very good birds.

There personalities were they were curious, interactive, one did start to talking (had a very cute voice - wasn't that clear). Easy to teach tricks. (both were).

But I would recommend getting a hand raised one if you are getting this bird.

Not too sure how a Rosella/plum head is like.

Heard rosella's weren't as interactive. But not too sure if that's true

Thanks every one. I think IRN it is, and I love the videos of Bowie! I would love to have a blue one! Still would like to know more about the plum heads, they are beautiful. I had a thing for rosellas since I first saw one in person he was the sweetest thing but it seems most people dont agree. Hmm...
