Which bird is this ?????

My son found this baby bird in our yard at a time of midnight. He brought him inside to save from cats or any other mishaps.

He can't take a flight, he flies n fell . Seems so small. But we don't know what bird is this . I will be obliged if someone can help us .

We are in Pakistan.

I wonder whether you might have access to a vet or could send his photo to a university or museum? At that age, his diet is crucial. He might not be a seed-eater, for example.

The best thing to do when you find a baby bird is to leave it as close to where you found it as you can and watch to see if his parents come to feed him. If they do, it's safest to leave him alone. If not, then yes, try to get him to someone who can care for him and release him when he's old enough. Thank you for saving him!

I borrowed my conure Roky's cage for a minute and put this baby in the cage and kept in the yard, in a minute his parents appeared and started yelling. I opened the cage and the baby flew away with parents .

I hope they will be happy and safe.

Fledgling birds spend quite a few days on the ground before they can fly....The mother is often nearby but people think they have been abandoned so they essentially kidnap them by mistake.
Glad you put him back. It's stressful to be a human in those situations, for sure!
