So as you may or may not know, I'm an utter greenhorn with all of this bird husbandry.
Obviously research is the key and I did a lot prior to purchasing my bird.
Part of that research led me to clicker training and the importance of target training.
I know she's pretty young at only about 13 weeks old but I have Hollis target trained like a champ and now she is learning to discern between "touch the stick" and "touch the ball".
The thing is, I'm not quite sure why such importance is placed on target training, she stepped up from day dot, has never been shy or flighty and is generally a pretty good bird, so where do I go from here?
I know this seems bad, but I'm loathe to pay for training information because I know it's out there somewhere and I also don't want to be spammed into oblivion from birdtricks.com.
So good people of parrot forums, what's my next step?

Edit: it's not so much that I want to teach her tricks, but I would really like to challenge her and make her life as full and exciting as possible.

The following blog may be quite helpful in your question about target training.

Birdchannel has a few articles on tricks to teach
Bird Trick Training

You could teach wave, spin, pick an object up to drop it in somewhere else, station (aka "stay"), fly to perch, recall, "play dead", "big eagle" (raise wings), etc.

The following video may give you some ideas on tricks to train.

I don't know what books are available in Australia in regards to trick training, but I know Melinda Johnson has a great book on how to teach tricks!

There are a lot of websites out there talking about how to train specific behaviors if you search for them. The Birdchannel one is the one I could think of off the top of my head.
