Budgerigar: Arrow, Esther, Kratos, Cora, Ducky.

Lovebird: Izzy, Gizmo.
I left the cage open for Arrow and Esther after refilling their food. Instead of eating they had other ideas...

Arrow decided to start off by flying onto her neighbors cage which instigated Esther to go too (not on camera)

Of course, when Gizmo was out, no one wanted to visit...

So I decided to bring the party to them on top of their emergency cage (it was just for outside today). So I say that their first introductions was a success, no injuries or fighting! Just a bunch of staring at each other and --- nope, that was it :p.

Such a beautiful flock! Noticing a consistently yellow and green theme, here. :p

A staring contest, eh? I've definitely seen worse introductions. Haha!

Cute flock!

I've only noticed their similar colors tonight as well, must have been the orange/red on Gizmo!

Even staring, my palms started to get kinda clammy waiting for a sudden move :02:.

Can't ask for a much better intro! Very pretty flock!

They'll be best buddies in no time! Cute pictures Reid!

Awwww.... looks like everyone is a tad surprised to be together. I bet they'll all learn to be friends soon:)

See now, if I knew that's how the introduction would go here with my flock I would definitely go for it. I just don't want to get in between beaks when one of my birds starts a fight...not naming names (Sassy):54:

Your flock is beautiful! Really makes me want to get a budgie for my granddaughters! ;)

I absolutely love budgies and would add a whole flock in if I could!

Your granddaughter would be really lucky if she stumbles upon one during her birthday or another holiday ;)

Yes, I was thinking Easter:rolleyes: or maybe birthday... We'll see how things go...and what hubby says. Although, if it's for the granddaughters the answer is always "yes":09:.

Aw, I'm so happy to see your little flock together :). Such a cute little green and yellow flock too :). That's a good sign, if no negative body language right off the bat, chances are good they might learn to be friendly to each other.
You're doing so well with your birdies Reid ;)

Good move! I notice you intentionally kept them from meeting on top of one of their cages, good job preventing territorial invasion from being their first intro! Are the budgies getting tamer? Gizmo is such a little charmer! We missed you at the last meeting, there were two other lovebirds there! They were named chip and dale, but they were both hens!

A beautiful "Vultures Row!!" Hope it's the start of some nice supervised relationships!

Hmm..not sure if I did a good job on the top of their cages in all honesty. When they started flying over, Gizmo tried his slow motion bite attack,. Of course, they were already halfway back once he closed his mouth. Other than that, he's fine on their cages.

YES! In the course of three months the budgies have gotten a lot tamer! They aren't exactly hand tamed but they don't fly or feel as threatened when my hand are near them (with food). With no food, they move away but they don't panick. I was about a foot and half away when I took that picture, so I say it's going towards the right direction.

I was hoping that I could have made it to the meeting but I was beyond stressed about my homework. This is probably the hardest semester I've had since....ever (my acne has gotten so much worse the second week)? I'm planning on coming this upcoming one, but I'll most likely be late due to Chinese New Year events.
But I can't believe I missed two lovebirds! Gizmo might have had a blast, I have to accidentally get him some extra millet tonight :(

Problem there Reid... granddaughters are girls! :p

Shhh...that's what the government wants you to think...

I could definitely fit into the role of the very very very distant relative who lives in the Bahamas :D!
