I've learned to respond when I am not home, cuz Salty loves to peck at the touch screen on my tablet, which, amazingly, is responsive to bird beaks, like a stylus. Nothing like typing out a long response only to have Mr Budinski peck at the DEL key and loose everything.
LOL, the other day I brought up a nice pic of some broccoli. Salty kept trying to eat it !
The laptop in the photo is now an ex-laptop. She let herself out of the cage whilst I was at work one day and I came back to find no keys on the laptop and a rather sheepish looking bird on top of the cage. I don't have a picture to hand but there's a thread about it somewhere on here.
Where parrots are concerned tablets are a very good invention!
Baxter got his own keyboard to destroy for Christmas (it was cheaper than many of the bird toys I've bought him)!
He enjoyed it thoroughly for about 20 minutes and then realized that it isn't as fun to destroy HIS things. It is much more fun to destroy MY things. So, he abandoned his Christmas keyboard in favor of attempting to destroy mine.
I'm not sure what it is but Venus has tried to pull more keys off. I've saved them but talk about getting them back on the keyboard right. My "b" key was out of commission for a while and I'd hit b about 5 times before it would register, lol.
