when do lovebirds sexually mature?

Rita's probably about 6 months old and recently has started becoming really "friendly" with her rope toy. Do both males and females do this?

lovebirds are called that for a reason, ha ha.
they mature around 6-8 months of age, after their first moult.

some hens become fertile around this time, but it is not encouraged, they are still young.

were you thinking of finding a 'honey' for her?

That explains it, she is going through her first molting!

She has to be a single lovebird forever - lol. She's a carrier for PBFD, I can't put anyone with her.
