what to try next?

Its took a long time but it seems like nolan the eastern rosella has mastered step up as long as a treat is involved. He does this quite quickly now. and will sometimes sit on my hand for a few minutes. But im a bit unsure of where to go next. Any ideas are wellcome. Thanks x

Does your bird sit on your shoulder as u walk about the house ? Also l point my finger & ask my new baby to walk along my arm back to his perch hoping to teach him to pick up foot toy a bring it back to me , u should try this !
Their are lots of toys u can make , such as toilet roll up right , then teach your bird to drop item into it . Always give reward . check out u,tube for other bird tricks u can teach your bub .Have fun & good luck!

These sound fun will defo try. shiney beads and a shot glass. everything with nolan takes so long will probably take a while. I would like to try target training just need to find a target that he isnt so afraid of. he likes shiney things so a small chrome stick would be good. just need to find one.
He wont come up to my shoulder just my hand and wrist. I can somtimes walk around the room with him on my hand but he sometimes just flys off. I would like it if he would sit on my shoulder but his confidence hasnt got that far yet. he will take a seed out of my mouth but not when on my hand.

I thing it is to early to have him on the shoulder, wait until he is confidence to UP and DOWN. You should maby just sit down and let him walk around on you and play with your hand. That will build up trust i think

Be careful letting him eat anything out of your mouth. We can transmit lots of germs to our birds! I never let my birds eat anything that I have eaten from.

I hadnt ate from the same thing just held a sunflower seed between my lips. I didnt realise this would do any harm was trying to build up his confidence around me. thanks for letting me know i would hate to think that he was unwell because of me
