Hi I will have green cheeks conures for sale soon and I was wondering how much I should list them for. They will be handfed. I will have cinnamon females and normal split to cinnamon males. I live in California. Thanks. :)

Do you think that 200 for the cinnamon's and 175 for the splits is a good price?

There are a lot of factors you need to consider. Will these birds be hand fed, closed banded, DNA tested and vet checked before they go to their new homes? Will you be offering any sort of health guarantee on them? What is the price range of them where you live?

Like I said they will be hand fed but not banded because I don't like the idea of them picking at it. I am going to offer a money back guarantee. The average prices i've seen are from 100-250 so I don't know what to ask for them, I was thinking like 175 for the splits and 200 for the cinnamon's.

That seems like a fair price then, I kind of expected them to be more in california, that's about what they go for here, everything seems like it's more expensive out there lol.

Yup everything is going up. They say gas will be 6 dollars by summer here.

Ugh! They are saying $4-5 here. It's almost $4 now though. Well, you are in California; get a motorcycle, lol! Mine gets 50-55mpg. I actually started riding due to the gas prices in 08. And actually my first one got 60-65mpg.

Ha, I'm actually saving up for a Harley. Its like 4.30 here now so...

At least you are allowed to lane split there on the highways. No more sitting in traffic jams at any rate. I have a Triumph.

Ya that is a good part of having a bike. My uncle has a triumph and my dad has two Harley's .
Anyway back to the birds, anyone else with a price?

I live in NH and there's an pet store / "breeding facility" near my house, they charge $350-$375 for green cheeks

Yes I have checked that site but haven't found any California listings with my mutation.
And to KIWI264, 350 is the normal price for pet shops.
Thanks for the help.

Mine will be handfed and dna'd

At the local bird store in Michigan they sell handfed, non DNA tested GCC for $250 (But if you bought straight from the breeder like I did, the price was lower) hope that helps!

I'm the Bay Area. I just filled up my tank today for $4.28/gallon, and it was at one of the cheaper gas stations, too. Yikes!

Green cheeks here go for $200 on average when buying from small private breeders, and $300 on average when buying from stores or large breeders.

Thanks, that seems to me to be a fair price for the conures.
