As I've said in previous threads I'm getting water nurse's macaw anzu on the 26th of January, what is the best way to prepare for him to have an easy and happy move. He will be 7 months old when I get him. And we have a two hour drive after his drive down to grand rapids:blue1:

oh congrats macaws are wonderful! On the trip home id say bring a blanket to cover the travel cage with so he isnt so stressed. and as with any macaw be sure to give him lots of opportunities to destroy wood in the cage I've noticed if mine doesn't have enough to chew he will go to my walls.... And just give him a couple days to settle in and take in an all new home. I got to play with a baby macaw once and she was so sweet she just wanted to snuggle and preen my hair :)

You can stock up on food, cook/bake and freeze in portions, too, if you wanted to. :)

How about foraging opportunities?? Both my big macs have foraging toys, and I rotate them around, so they don't get bored.

I have the following for mine:
Foraging Wheel Giant by Creative Foraging - FORAGING TOYS by MY SAFE BIRD STORE

Stainless Steel Foraging Cage Large - FORAGING TOYS by MY SAFE BIRD STORE

Four Big Drawers Foraging Box by Creative Foraging - FORAGING TOYS by MY SAFE BIRD STORE

These are GREAT to hide Pine Nuts in: :D
Zig Zag - FORAGING TOYS by MY SAFE BIRD STORE

Nature's Instinct Daffy for Taffy - FORAGING TOYS by MY SAFE BIRD STORE
