Can you recommend a Pellet type/Brand for my Amazon? Thanks.:green:

I waa looking at Zupreeme , but there are so many kinds.

How old is your bird? What is his/her activity level?

There are several excellent pellets available. To name a few that I use regularly (that's right, I don't feed just one, I mix several together):

TOPS (Totally Organics)
Zupreem natural
Harrison

Hope this helps.

I would recommend Harrison's, TOP's or Roudybush.

Used to feed Zupreem but was never fond of the dyes and sugar in the pellets. In my conure, the Zupreem Fruitblend caused his droppings to be various colors and unformed. Other people have also reported this as well, but it's not something that occurs in all birds.

Go to the bottom of this page where it has a list of manufacturers and how to contact them
Cockatiel Sized Pellet Comparison - Artemis Aviary: African Lovebirds; North Carolina, USA

Some companies give free samples, some may sell you a small bag and others have a money back guarantee if you buy their products.

Get as many different types as you can, then see if your amazon will eat any of them.

Zupreem, Higgins, Harrison, all three of the band are good..cant go wrong with any of them 3 really..

I feed both Zupreem Naturals (I personally avoid colored pellets) and Harrisons. My GCC only gets Zupreem (he doesn't care for anything else) but my Goffins gets both, plus Lafeber's Pellet-Berries.

Pretty much Harrisons, Zupreem, Roudybush & TOP's are going to be highly recommended.

Keep in mind, you might want your bird on a particular pellet, but your bird may not like that one. As MonicaMc said, try as many as you can to see what they like. You can often get samples so you don't have to buy a huge bag only to discover they hate it.
