Hello,i'm new here. Can someone Tell me what species is this parrot? I just found him in the pouring rain and idk how to take care of him ,because i don't know what species is him, what food is Best for him etc.
Here is a photo of him http://imgur.com/gallery/8LmZ8DW

It's not a species I've seen before, but he is either an Amazon or a Conure. Lucky for you, care requirements don't vary much from species to species. First, a few questions to help me give you the right information:
1. About how big is he?
2. Do you live in North America? If so, it's probably either a lost or abandoned bird.
3. Is he eating and drinking?

He is the size of my hand. A Little bigger,he is very friendly, the first day he is eating seeds from my hand and climbing over my shirt. I live in Europe so...most likely he is a lost bird, because the climate her is not that good for exotic birds to live outside of a house without being taking care of. I thought the same,Amazonian but...a friend suggested me thag is an Agapornis. I'm really confused

Agapornis is a fancy name for a lovebirds, which he is NOT, I can tell you that much.
1. Diet
Make sure you don't feed him all seeds. 40% of the diet should be fresh fruits and vegetables, 20% grains, like pasta (DO NOT FEED BREAD, it expands in their stomachs and can kill them), 10% nuts, and the remaining 30% seeds or bird pellets.

2. Cage
Make sure he has a cage that is at least 1.5 Times his wingspan. He shouldn't be able to get his head through the bars, but make sure it's wire he can't bend.

3. General care
If he is friendly, make sure he gets daily playtime outside the cage. I'm talking like an hour or two. Just be cautious. Out of all the birds I know, Amazon's bite the hardest. You can pet him any way you like, but if it causes "certain behaviors" only rub his head. Make sure you change the water and papers daily, and Don't leave fruits and veggies in the cage for more than a few hours.

Any other questions?

So do you think he is 100% an Amazon parrot? I heard they are really expensive. What about a golden-headed conures ? He looks alike

Looks like a conure. It looks like a mix of a sun conure and a nanday conure. A nan-sun or something like that but I am not entirely sure. Beautiful bird. I hope someone else can be more sure of it's bread.

Crowcall- plze stop.

bread does not expand... (at least not in Europe where artificial additives are forbidden, we do not plunk matrasexpandingstuff in our bread like the US/ yes we've read the Subwaybreaddisaster)
I know you've read a lot and are anxious to have you own bird, but puhleaze... stop traumatizing people!

Daniel- no idea where you are, for info in Europe:

(best birdrelated networking I've found sofar)

Good luck - it's a lovely bird.

Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't know there is a difference in American and European bread.

That's not true...many people feed their bird bread as a treat, even people from Europe. If that happened to birds it would also happen to us and other animals and we would all be dead.

To the OP: You may feed your bird bread in moderation as a treat.

Here is a better pic with him, maybe with this you'll know for sure what species it is. I have mixed feelings about him being golden headed conure, since i heart that they are kinda expensive. and i don't know people around here that are that rich to afford an exotic bird.

I hope the links Gail provided are able to help you reunite this cutie with his family, thank you for rescuing him!

I want to mention that white bread isn't healthy to feed to birds, even as a treat. Making a birdie bread using healthy ingredients is much better for them.

it is definitely a golden capped conure, no other conure has those distinct identifications all together (red cap, white around eyes, black beak, red on the stomach, blue flight feathers)

thanks everyone. Also do you know if this bird can actually speak? and is that much expensive as i've heard?

Whether or not a bird speaks is an individual characteristic.

I’m going to reiterate what Gail (GaleriaGila) and Terry have said about trying to reunite this little guy with his owner. There may be a reward for him. Please use the links provided, look for lost posters in your area, and check with local vets to see if his person is looking for him.
