I bought this bird toy and it has pieces of colored wood raffia paper and another item that the lady at the bird store said was coconut. This isn't a typical coconut toy cuz it's very soft and they can shred it. Does anybody know what this substance is

It's cocohusk, it's what's under the hard shell.
