I've got a dried bean mix. I keep reading totally different explanations as to the best way to make them 'safe' to eat, there are red kidney beans and other large beans in the mix. This is how I've been (forgive the unintentional pun) preparing them.
- Soaking them in a glass bowl for 24 hours in bottled water that's been boiled & cooled
- Rinsing them a few times with bottled water
- Bringing them to the boil
- Boiling for 10mins
- Simmering for 1 hour
