So, this year I feel really guilty. I spent the minimum on toys for my conures this year. They are getting:

Bells and foraging items. What have you guys found that is interesting?

Dont feel guilty! This year is horrible financially for my family. We barely have enough money to buy food right now so presents are out of the picture unfortunately.:(

I think this year is a hard one on a lot of people. When you get down to it, our little feathered friends could probably care less about what they get. It's all about the love. A couple of bottle tops, some shredded papers and perhaps some cooked bean would be really appreciated. What else can you all think of that doesn't cost a lot of money but is REALLY appreciated?

Exactly, theres lots of things that are appreciated way more than the expensive toys.
Wicker balls/baskets to shred are great, those kebabs made of balsa? Wood that are easy to shred and super cheap, shredded up packing paper put into a ball, little pieces of wood, and of course some good food! Rice, beans, and veggies arent very expensive and tasty treats are always appreciated!

I have 16 days off in a row. So they're getting a LOT of me!

And Romeo got to come to work today and has had TONS of interaction with new people. He's been very well behaved. More on that later in his thread.

2016 cannot make it's exit soon enough as far as I'm concerned! Very challenging year full of all kinds of chaos. Some things to be grateful for, of course, but a whole lot of WTH did we do to deserve this?! in there as well.

We also couldn't swing a lot of gifts for Kiwi financially. Did get him one big toy (a baby toy, he likes baby toys:)) and some homemade toys (thankfully we have LOTS of toy parts to work with since I couldn't afford to stock up this year like I normally do when the holiday sales are on). Fortunately, parrots are easy to please and unlike children, they have no peers to compare the toys they receive with in years others may have gotten more than them.

Who's ready for a much better 2017?

I'm glad I'm not the only one! lol

I spent about $30 on Skittles this Christmas. A rather large drop from the amount I usually spend. But truthfully, he wants for nothing so I am fine with it. He is getting a bunch of those rope boings/bungees. He LOVES those. So I got him three of them.

Truthfully, I don't know what more I could get him, he basically has everything he needs and wants. Except the whole 'all you can eat pizza' that he keeps bugging me for.
