Hi everyone!
I have a question about a vocalization my female cockatiel, Iggy, is making. Now, I'm used to her flock calling screams when I get home, or when I leave the room. Its loud, but not bad. This noise is similar but its 5x louder, ear piercing.
Initially I thought it was fear, I was playing with her and lowered her into a box; that was the first time I heard her make that noise. She stopped as soon as I took her out. (I promise I wasn't being mean, she gets in boxes on her own haha)
My mother has a mini TV on her makeup counter, and Iggy will get behind it and make this noise. The only thing I can connect this with is small spaces, but she's never made it in her carrier, other boxes, or enclosed corners.
What in the world is this?

The video does not do justice as to exactly how loud this noise is.
