So i have had my Eckie for a few days now and whenever he can hear or see my he makes a short squawking kinda noise. Its usually not particularly loud but its pretty constant but he does when he is in his cage, he does it when he is out, he does it when he is eating, when i am scratching him. I am confused at the meaning of this. Is it just because he is only a baby (13-14weeks) and he will grow out of it? He does it and i think he wants out so i get him out (and he is happy to step up or if i leave his door open he flies out and runs over to me) but the noise continues. I scratch him and he seems to enjoy it then he makes the noise and i wonder if in fact he isnt enjoying it so i stop... He still makes the noise. Haha Like i said its not particularly loud (Its not too squawk thats for sure) but i just wonder what its about =D
Thanks

Is it sort of like a little high pitched whimper-squeak, like a puppy? And almost every second? Mine does that, I actually asked in a separate thread cos I thought she was begging. It turns out it's just normal eckie speak :)

It is a normal ekkie talk BUT if he's freshly weaned, he may be still begging a bit at his age.

I was reading about the whimpering sound on another post but i think this sounds more demanding and squawky although not really loud (unless he does it right by my ear!!)

Listen to some baby begging videos and see if that's it?
