I have a blue fronted Amazon :)

Sometimes I see my amazon "dancing". I've been told different things such as it means that he's 'excited' or 'wants attention', but can anyone confirm this? I notice he does this quite randomly.

Thanks!:green::green:

Happy and content. That's a very happy bird.

I am surprised there is no vocalization during his/her movements.
I would say happy/excited 90% chance.
My YNA does what we call a "Steve Wonder" dance. HE swings his head back and forth while swaying left and right and vocalizing "so cute" and "being lindo all the time"
It means I am happy to see you/excited.

will try to record video one of these days.

He's happy and dancing:) Attention seeking is more 'frantic', he looks pretty mellow right there and to be enjoying himself.

What a great dancer!!! The best dancers I've seen so far have usually been Amazons and Cockatoos; they just have rhythm!

He is very happy!
And he shows it to everyone:):)
