Pitu' gets a seed/pellet/nut/dried fruit mix with fresh mixed fruits and veggies every morning, a couple of nuti-berries for a snack in the afternoon, and a dried-fruit and seed treat in the evening. I also throw in a bit of cooked brown rice and/or whole-grain pasta now and then, along with pieces of whole-grain bread. We also use vitamins in his water.
He is particularly fond of grapes, kiwi, pineapple and melon.
Thus far (and he has only been home with us for a month), he is a good eater and our well-bird visit to the avian vet got a 2-thumbs-up for his condition. He enjoys bathing in the bathroom sink each week with a trickle of water running.
Is there anything I am missing? Would love to have some ideas to "chage-up" his diet from time to time.
