What cage do you guys have or recommend for an IRN. When I got my GCC I didnt have much time to shop around so I got him one from Petco. Granted, it is large and decent...and he LOVES it, but since I have a little time to shop around...what do you suggest (within reason) for my future IRN. No corner cage please...and no tabletop.
Thanks so much.

Your best bet is to do a google image search for (parrot cages), without the brackets, and find a cage you might be interested in. Giving suggestions without knowing your space requirements can be difficult, but your looking at what's available is like the old yellow pages advertisement.....let your fingers do the walking...find something of interest & then see if anyone around here has experience.....

If you're considering a large floor cage, there was a thread on the forum a couple of years ago,

http://www.parrotforums.com/cages/1873-cage-toxicology.html

that you might want to read, but the main information in the thread is at:

Happy Birdy

Houston's article was written back in 2004 or 2005, but is still valid today.....

I don't really consider myself as a true cynic, but we parronts are like the elderly, often sold a bill of goods and since our modern lifestyles often make us apathetic, most of us don't do enough research on what we read or are told, so I'll just keep posting eyeopeners unless I get complaints about them.....

A&e makes a large flight cage for finches that I have had Indian ring necks in. The bars are spaced right and so on and it gives a ton of room for toys and perches and everything, plus gives them room for that big tail. The cage ranges from like $90.00-$130.00 I believe. Ill try And find a link for it.

Both my IRNs each has their own african grey sized cages, one has a round cage while the other has a square one, I am looking at going even bigger hehehe! Solely for the reason that if they HAVE to spend time in their cages then at least they have ample space to frolick and keep themselves busy

I'm always recommending flight cages for smaller birds. You can find a high quality cage for a inexpensive price and they are huge.

I haven’t used any cages for them i have arranged a huge area which is covered with metal nets which makes them to fly freely
