What Apartments Allow Birds in DC?

I'm contemplating a move to DC, and I'm wondering if anybody knows a place that allows birds? No site says they do, although I figure if I call them all eventually one will say it's ok. I always use the line "it's just a small parakeet in a cage" (alexandrine parakeet that is lol). But if anybody knows a place that for sure allows birds that would definitely help me in my search.

Alienating landlords and/or apartment/building managers may not be a wise thing to do, especially if you'd like advance notice of painting, bug/pest spraying, roof work, etc......

Check with some listing services.....
