Sun Conure hatched January 2016
I have a sun conure. I don't know if it is male or female. I've had him since he was a baby and he is about two and a half years old. I'm worried cause I read nightmare stories about how they change drastically during this time period. However I haven't noticed any real change from him other than he is becoming a little more boisterous. My question is at what age can I expect these changes to begin and what is the best way to keep them from acting out. Any help would be appreciated but I really would like a definitive estimate on what age puberty begins with sun conure

I got my bird when he was 5 months old he is a year old and there is not change I think he has been going threw puberty since I got him haha. Some birds don't change. The one thing that did happen was Sprinkles now no longer like everyone. He loves me but no longer lets my husband near him. That was the biggest change.

So you think puberty begins at around a year? So the fact that I'm two years in should mean I've at least begun to deal with what may or may not occur. Litterally nothing has happened other than a little bit more noise. He still loves everyone. He might bite someone on rare occasions that give him bad vibes but most the time he runs to new people. This might be cause I've encouraged new people to give him pineapple that he loves. If anyone else has a more definitive answer I'm all ears.

between 1 and 2. You can't be definitive with something like puberty. Think how widely spread out puberty is with humans
