Without going into too much detail as to the reasons why, Hubs is most likely getting out of the Navy very soon. He's registered with a few different Military Job Placement programs/companies. He even has a job lined up, but is keeping his options open seeing as the Navy hasn't given him his release date and they will probably only hold the job for so long.

Anyway, this morning, at 6:50am, the phone rings. I had just fallen back to sleep (Sugar woke me and then I had trouble going back to sleep), so this was no bueno. I ended up answering, and they were looking for Hubs, who had left half an hour previous. I, being sleep deprived as I have been for this entire week, kind of got nasty without knowing who it was and told them that it was not even 7am and if they ever called this early again, I'd sue them.

Not my best moment. Needless to say, I realized afterwards in my sleepiness who it was and I may have just hurt Hubs civilian job opportunities :( Today is not starting out well.

lol, that sucks, but it really is unreasonable to be making calls that early in the morning. I think that your hubby should be fine, they aren't hiring you. :)

Most people understand that mornings aren't most people's finest hours. When I was offered this job on the phone, the call had literally woken me up; I must have sounded like a drunk imbecile.

Thanks guys. Ugh, I just hate knowing I did something really stupid and if I had just maybe hung up the phone - or better yet not answered at all - I would have been fine. Tired, but not feeling stupid or guilty.

Oooh... I done messed up good. I'm on the verge of tears now. Hubs is super pissed at me; it was the guy trying to get him a 6-figure job. So I'm supposed to be nice to everyone who calls at 6:50am? Great. This day just keeps getting better and better. Sorry to vent.

Take a deep breath, I'm sure it will be fine. Its just one phone call, he could have called a cell phone, if he thought it was appropriate to make such a call so early in the morning.

it's not your fault! i would have probably reacted the same way! have the hubby put himself in your shoes, then see what he says ;) that's why i'm glad we don't have a landline anymore! just cell phones! so if anyone wants to get a hold of my boy, they call him direct, that way i'm not middle man and we end up playing a game of telephone or something.

i sure do hope your day gets better! hang out with your babies, crowley always puts a smile on my face!

Get yourself some rest! I promise things will look much nicer on the other side. :smile001:

That was a, "can I take it back?" moment. I'm sure who ever called will understand and realize that you were not the person he/she was looking for. Hopefully, they will call back and try again, a little later in the day!

it will be ok, people mess up when they're tired. when they call back and your husband talks to them, they will realize he is perfect for the job! get some rest and start tomorrow off by sleeping late, then have a huge egg, toast, bacon breakfast with coffee, and then read the paper or a good book :)
