Weird bird

Buford is our 7 year old B&G. He's got a few strange behaviors. He likes to do weird things with his wings and tail. You can see in the picture how he pulls his wing and/or tail around the perch. Sometimes he holds them, other times he just "hooks" them on the perch. He typically does this as part of his preening. He also likes to grab his tail and "comb" his head with it.

Has anyone else seen behavior like this?

Hi - I can't see a pic? I'm not sure what it means, but it sounds very cute. Especially combing his head with his tail.

What a cool name "Buford". And what a pretty boy!!!

None of my 2 guys do this, no. Sound like Buford is making a tool out of his tail and using it to preen himself.

Willie does the exact same thing every once in awhile. He tether his feathers pretty good from doing so. He's been doing this for years and just won't quit. I've given up on trying to make him quit long ago....
