Weird Behavior

Hi,

I have a sweet gcc Sassy - yes, she's sassy thats how she got her name! I have a question about her behavior. Whenever she's laying down, in hay or under my hair on my shoulder, or even on a blanket, she'll sqawk continuous and flap her wings. Does anyone know why this is? I tried getting her on video but she notices the camera and stops. I will try again and post if you need to see to believe. The bird store doesnt know why / or what shes doing. Which I find hard to believe.

When you say she flaps her wings are they all the way out, or just partialy up and shaking. That is part of the tiel mating dance.

Partially out and shaking! She's only 7-8 months old! So its a mating thing but there's no other bird around for her to mate with! I've had tiels before, both never did this. This GCC is totally confusing me!!!

Sounds like she's playing It's not mating haha stretching her wings, if it's really rapid she's really excited. Lucy does it too and sqwaks and talks and is just generally silly
