So I probably won't see the replies till after a lot of the weather has gone through. But it's 9:30 am and the National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch. I'm terrified of this, even though its just a watch. (There's a back story to this, but no flash backs)

I'm wondering if our birds (everyone's birds on the forums) can sense the weather outside? Also should I (have) put my babies on the ground while I'm in class.

I've been home when there have been recent tornado warnings/watches, but I haven't moved them before. This is probably me over worrying.

Yes, birds & other animals can sense storms because of the changes in pressure.....

I don't know what good putting your bird's cages on the ground/floor would do during a tornado strike.....two years ago I lost a house to a tornado and would have lost my birds if they had not been with me out of town.....on our return, the tornado that got the house, passed about 1/4 mi in front of us across the highway & though they didn't get all flighty & scared, they were very quiet.....
