Presently have six Greenwing Macaw (17 yo), Red Fronted Macaw (12 yo), Red Lored Amazon (17 y.o.), Lilac Crowned Amazon (about 43 y.o.) and a Congo African Grey (11 y.o.)
Panama Amazon (1 Y.O.)

Yeah, I was wearing that shirt when Maggie decided it was a tug of war toy... (Each one of those holes represents a game of tug of war! Yeah, she entertained herself on my lap for an entire football game with this one. Didn't take me to the laundrymat? Fine! You won't have to wash this one!) And the wrinkles at the bottom? That's where she bunched it up in her beak to get a better grip on it....

And if you leave flip flops by the door in my house, this is what remains of them. This was my third pair of these they've done that to... nothing left but the fabric.

Mark, I actually scared my gang when you first shot me this photo. I burst out laughing, and my Sam almost fell off the perch, HAHAHAH!

Hey, don't throw it away, it looks like it 'could' last through another game.

I've lost 3 or 4 shirts that looked like this or worse when she's in the mood to play tug of war with them...

She really does entertain herself with it, and well, they're bird shirts, so who cares?

I LIVE IN FLIP FLOPS so THAT I take issue with... Not that Lila cares. She'll see me taking them off, and start waddling over to see what she can get away with. (Literally! Grab it and run off with it!)

LOL !!!! Look at the flip flops :)

That is only the fabric part of them. There is no rubber underneath either one.

In fact, one of them is missing a significant portion of the fabric as well.

I don't know why, but Lila's eyes absolutely light up at the sight of flip flops.

In fact, one of my "good" (well, mostly good) pairs of flip flops have bite marks in the heel of it from her waddling along behind me and grabbing at them.

I didn't even come close to recognizing the flip flops! Someone certainly had a fun time!

Uh, that picture needs to go on a "So, you think you're ready to live with a macaw" post. That is most impressive.

ROFL Mark, you are so creative! Will you apply for a patent for your innovative new wearable foraging toys? Lila could be in the ad chasing you down for HER newest prize.

I think we should start a Flipflop fund for Mark...

Great pic, Mark! All it needs is a few dollops of green and white bird goodness! :p

That is hysterical!!!!

Here's the funny part...

They did that to the flip flops in the time it took for me to drink two cups of coffee in the morning. I just ran out to my car in the rain to get something, and left my wet flip flops by the door.

So, in the space of about 20 minutes or less those went from perfectly fine every day footwear, to shredded nesting materials. :52: And all I could do was slap myself upside the head... I LEFT MY FLIP FLOPS BY THE DOOR AGAIN DIDN'T I?! Might as well have just handed it to them...

IN SOME WAYS, I GUESS THIS MAKES MY FLIP FLOPS A FORAGING TOY, AS THEY HAVE TO SEEK THEM OUT, AND DRAG THEM OFF... :D

I'm glad Mark didn't tell everyone it was actually me that did all of this destruction...

I still have all of my shirts, but I am sure Kyleigh will change that soon lol. Thankfully I wear boots 24/7/365

Macaws and Sennies LOVE tug of war...

Maggie obviously can play this game for hours and not get tired of it.

And with Sennie's it's a good way to have them work off a little 'tude. Cuz they just get so determined NOT to give in or let go... so you just let them get it out of their system that way.
