we lost Opey today

he was only 4 years old , I was going to take him to the vet this morning , he hasn't been his normal self for a few days but I had no idea it was something so serious , I did take him in for a necropsy since I have 3 other birds I need to know what happened to him , he will be missed he had a very special bond with me and my hubby , we loved him a lot , fly free my little green buddy mom and dad will miss you

I am so sorry about Opey. It is so scary how quickly something can happen to them I hope the necropsy shows that whatever it was wasn't contagious. You and your husband will be in my thoughts.

I'm so sorry hearing about the loss of your Opey. One thing I have noticed over and over again, is that when a parrot is going down, it happens very quickly, whether an illness or an accident it doesn't seem to matter. Take some comfort in the good you all had together.

ty all , it's so quiet without him here , he wasn't a loud bird but you sure knew when he was around , the vet said it might take a week or 2 to get the results back he will call me asap when he knows anything , he knows I'am worried about the health of my other 3 birds especially Shamrock since he is still a baby
