We had an event to go to in Miami yesterday. Left 11:30 in the morning, got home 11pm.

This is the longest Iā€™ve ever been away from Archie, let alone my wife too! Heā€™s never been away from either of us more than a few hours, let alone both at the same time.

But he wasnā€™t really alone. My sons were here, they kept visiting him from their rooms, and they said he was quiet all day.

Well, itā€™s now 12:30pm the next day, his activity and eating are normal, but he ainā€™t chattering up a storm like usual. In fact, he hasnā€™t said a WORD since we left yesterday. I can tell heā€™s going to start talking again as he now swings upside down from his bells, but...

Is he pissed at us for leaving him?

yes and he's pissed when you don't leave him alone.....that's parrots for ya...

I'd wait till tomorrow before I'd worry. Sometimes just a "day of normal" resets the clock.

Get some treats for him. usually breaks the ice.

Heā€™s not pissed enough to refuse his head scratches, though.

HAH!

This is really hysterical.

he's fine, maybe just confused, wondering if he did something wrong, like you shunned him.....will be fine tomorrow
