We found a budgie in our garden.
we posted signs and looked online to see if anyone local was missing a budgie.
He seems to be an adult by his banding, coloring, and feathering...
At first all of the toes on his left foot were pointing forward and he could not perch properly. I made him a nice flat surface to sleep on and after a few days of rest his toes are correctly positioned and he can perch.
Though every once in a while his toes will go back to all facing forward and he will have trouble perching.
He also seems to sit on his tibia, keeping this part of his leg in a horizontal position whereas my amazon and Macaw are more upright the tibia is more vertical.
Does anyone have any thoughts or insight about this birds legs.
Thank you.
