I know the seeds of some fruits are toxic but what about those little white seeds that are found in a watermelon? Does anybody know if those are unsafe as well?

I take out the black seeds in watermelons but leave the white ones...I'm interested to see what everyone else does. Great question!

Terry57, yes that's what I do. The black ones are big, easy to spot and remove but the white ones sometimes are tiny and blended into the flesh of the fruit. They still are seeds, I guess so I wonder if anyone knows if they are ok.

They're okay to give. My ring neck goes crazy when I offer them. But my CAG doesn't like them. He prefers to munch on the hard skin.
