Our new home is not on city water, we have a well. The well water has been tested and is safe for human and animal consumption.
It passes through a filter and a water softener before coming to the house. I haven't noticed anything differnet about the taste of the water from the tap.
My concern, regarding the "softened" water is the potential salt content and Skittles health. Does the use of a water softener to remove minerals and soften the water, pose any risks to pets, especially something as small as an Amazon parrot?
