Never leave tape around your birds!!! At my bird store/rescue, a young sun conure was getting his nails trimmed behind the register. (He was the lady-behind-the-counter's conure) As the lady was packing up a brown bag full of Zuppreem pellets with duct tape (to seal it) The conure was finished and in a hurry flew at his owner. He crash landed (he apparently wasn't a good flyer) into the tape in the lady's hands. :( He got tape stuck on his belly, and they had to cut him out. They only cut the very tips , and he was fine but rattled afterwards. Just a warning, BE CAREFUL!!! :)

LOL!

That's scary, I duct taped a break in my snakes mesh cage top and it was fine till one might be tried to push through it. I woke up to the noise and found him writhing with the tape all over his scales and covering one eye ( snakes have no eyelids) he lived only because it didn't cover both nostrils and my mother is a vet who used the sleeping gas and mineral oil to free him. No lost scales or damage. Just remember mineral oil dissolves most tape adhesives and acetone all glues like superglue! I don't know if they are safe for bird but emergencies happen.

I use duct tape all the time... after all, duct tape is what holds a band together :)
I just don't want it to hold my birds together lol
