It's been awhile since last I posted. I just wanted to give everyone an update. She is amazing. Her vet visit went well. She is a healthy weight, vents looked good, etc. She is a completely different bird. I (and the Vet) think she was going through a mating season. Which is why she was so aggressive. She was claiming me and didn't want anyone else near me.
I now have her out and about regularly. She sits with me on the recliner every night and my wife is right there. She doesn't get all excited like she use to, she has calmed down so much. She hasn't drawn blood in I don't know how long. She lets me know when she wants scritches, when she wants to play and when she's had enough. She tells me night night when she wants to go to bed.
I will say that I do have 1 bad habit in that I allow her on my shoulder, contrary to the "expert" advice. She's most comfortable there and is at ease, so I allow it. But I am so completely at awe at her complete and total transformation. Thank you all for your wonderful and encouraging advice and for sharing your experiences it really helped me in getting her to where she is.
