Vinaceous amazon

They are so beautiful! Until you had posted this I did not even realize they were still available anywhere. I'd love to know the price the next time you go in.

good to see someone is breeding them. island birds where never very successful here in the US.

There is one breeder that I know of in Florida, at least as of about two years ago. Other than that... pretty hard to come by.

Howard may breed these. I don't know anymore... haven't talked to him in years.

i've never noticed any at his place.

Ooh, I used to want a Vinaceous lol. There's a place I knew of that raised them, but not sure if they're in business any more.

These guys and the blue headed macs came from the same breeder from my understanding. He or she is retiring. I have no idea if they are proven or not.

:32: Stunning!!!! Thanks so much for sharing. Now I need to wipe the drool off my face, LOL. :D

Very stunning and beautiful!!

Wow! Aren't they magnificent, thank you for sharing your photos!

Somewhere around 45 years ago, there was a Vinaceous Amazon at a pet store where I bought food for George the YCA. I've never forgotten how beautiful that parrot was. It's very special to meet a Vinaceous Amazon in person. :)
