They are so beautiful! Until you had posted this I did not even realize they were still available anywhere. I'd love to know the price the next time you go in.

- Presently have six Greenwing Macaw (17 yo), Red Fronted Macaw (12 yo), Red Lored Amazon (17 y.o.), Lilac Crowned Amazon (about 43 y.o.) and a Congo African Grey (11 y.o.)
Panama Amazon (1 Y.O.)
There is one breeder that I know of in Florida, at least as of about two years ago. Other than that... pretty hard to come by.
Howard may breed these. I don't know anymore... haven't talked to him in years.

Ooh, I used to want a Vinaceous lol. There's a place I knew of that raised them, but not sure if they're in business any more.

Somewhere around 45 years ago, there was a Vinaceous Amazon at a pet store where I bought food for George the YCA. I've never forgotten how beautiful that parrot was. It's very special to meet a Vinaceous Amazon in person.
