So today is Tallulah's first day home. She was super quiet in our 4 hour drive home. Now she is really squaking, which I expected. But she keeps doing this on the bars of her cage. My boyfriend has an Amazon and said she never did it. Does it mean something? Anyone else's bird ever do this? She is doing it a lot. Thanks.

To me, it looks like she is nervous and is shaking a bit and holding on to the side of the cage with both feet and beak and staring straight at you.

Is this a new cage? She probably needs a lot of reassurance while settling and adjusting, maybe even dim the lights a little.

Well, when she is in other places in the cage she is not shaking. The cage is not new. A month ago when she chose me at the bird store I bought the cage and some toys for her and they kept her in it so she would get used to it. So her cage should feel like home but she is still in a new environment. I am sure she will need an adjustment period but I was unsure if this is just something they do...or if it means stress, aggressiveness, or something.
