EDIT: Tried to upload from iPhone 4s; It appeared to be properly processing once the upload key was tapped, but twice resulted in an "Invalid File" response.
Is it not possible to load a short video directly from a device?

No, Scott, so sorry about that. Videos can be shared either by uploading them to Photobucket (or other online media storage) or YouTube.
