Oh it used to horrify me! I used to freak out whenever I'd see them anywhere near each other. They have been attached every since I got my bird. I eventually gave up on keeping them apart. I got to the point that I was locking my cat in the other room to save my sanity. Luna would not leave the shut door while the cat was in there. I let her out and decided to closely supervise. They have done absolutely nothing but cuddle and nap together in the 4 months I have had Luna. I am starting to think that those two are more bonded to each other then they are with me! I still watch them like a hawk, of course. They follow each other everywhere. It's strange...
That is great. But, NEVER let your guard down! I had a Cockatoo a long tiome ago. I got her because she was attacked by a dog that had been its closest companion for years. Nobody knew what caused the skirmish. The dog was fine, except for a few scratches. The bird lost a leg, and part of a wing.
It's very cute, but I would never let a bird bond to a cat or a dog... They will only 'bond' if they spend a lot of time together, and that can be fatal...
Well, my cat watched that video with high interest. She wants to know why her mommy won't let the birds play with her. I told her, well, Sadie, you pretty much kill or maim everything you play with!
You have a very sweet kitty. I used to have one like that that could be trusted with little critters. No way with my current one though.
