So as posted in the intro i'm trying to get oscar to eat healthier. I bought the dri-greens from the pet store. He seems to eat it. I gave him a few small pieces of romaine stalk and he actually nibbled on it. My other pets aren't big on that part of the romaine so maybe he'll it eat. Next trip to the grocery store i'm going to buy some sort of tropical fruit. He likes banana but thats loaded with sugar. He ate some apple last night. Are dried fruits bad for birds? I have dried papaya if its ok for him to eat it. This poor guy has been deprived of a good life. He's pretty well behaved, not destructive so far. He's not big on treats so thats good but he gets plenty of junk being on a seed diet. I'm trying to switch by mixing. My husband says just switch it..Umm no..I don't need a stressed out bird. I bought a small bag of zupreem fruit blend. From the looks of his poo he hasn't ate any. Who knows how long he's been on an all seed diet. There's a small bit of progress.
