Using athar around birds

So one of my family members wears this on his skin and clothes. It is basically an essential oil that comes from flowers and he wears it. I understand it's bad to use it in a diffuser and dangerous what about applying it on the skin and clothes and going around the birds.

Ittar Oil is derived from botanical sources, but I don;t know how safe it is for a bird. You would have to ask an Avian vet to be sure.

The known safe oils to use around birds as a moisturizer are: Vitamin A, Vitamin E, Coconut oil, Olive oil, Safflower oil, Almond oil and lotion made with bees wax. Most products use petroleum jelly as their base and petroleum jelly is crude oil by product of the distillation of Gasoline! Not good!!

Scented oils shouldn't be used around birds for the most part. They (oils) have medicinal impacts on humans and absorb into the blood-stream, not to mention the risk of inhalation...Essential oils can still be dangerous, and perfumes should be avoided around birds. Obviously a few seconds around a perfumed person will probably be okay, but you don't want your bird near that person for a long time, or touching that oil on your relative's skin..
Plus, some flowers/oils are toxic to birds---aside from the respiratory aspects--- like, tea-tree oil, for instance, is very dangerous for them.

I honestly ask my relatives not to wear perfume around my bird..lol...the close ones, anyway...
