Possibly urgent question

Any idea what this is? Either it just now showed up or it's becoming more visual. It's on my CAG's right wing near the shoulder.

My first guess is that it's a damaged incoming feather shaft. As you probably know, new feathers emerge in a waxy spike, gradually being preened into a fully-spread feather. I'm looking forward to other ideas, though. If it is a feather, I'd get an avian vet to look, since new feathers are still connected to blood supply, and can cause dangerous blood loss if incorrectly addressed.
I'd probably get a vet appointment anyway...

I assumed the same but African grey feathers shouldn't be coming in red there. She's not red factor and I've read that it could mean liver disease if red feathers come in odd spots.

Hmmmm... I can see a bit of redness... I wonder if it's blood or inflammation (as opposed to feather hue)...

Hopefully some of the Grey owners and enthusiasts here will contribute.

I might email the photo to your avian vet and see what they think/if it's necessary to come in.

I have not seen anything like this and would recommend an avian vet visit.
