Thought the rest of the pack needed to share their updates hahaha

Firstly Kyros!

He went to his first ever jump night last month.. The first time in both mine and his life we have through a big course! He was a very good boy

Reinless riding!

But on the 2nd of january Kyros got an abscess, just he would of hit a rock wrong in his hoof, some dirt got in the crack and made an infection!

He is all better now!!

Kitai is still very unwell with his hooves!

But here are Kyros and Kitai at the vets/farriers getting their shoes on!

and you remember little baby Cypher?

Who is now at his awkward teenage faze, he has very long legs and a very long nose hahaha

and!! If you remember Bilbo! The golden Retriever!

Lastly my gorgeous baby Klaatu!!!

Who is just a super star!!

He still has his baby teeth, so the farrier and vet suggested still not to ride him yet...

We 'think' he will be turning 3 in March... But because he is half clydesdale, they are soooo slow to mature!

So just doing flat work with him, and free jumping!

and some close ups on his baby face

Plus a movie of him jumping... He absolutely loves jumping... He can clear much higher than this, because he jumps out of his paddocks... But he is like a toddler and thought this was a game, probably because i was laughing so much.. He only did this a few times and then carried on being a good boy :p

Thank you very much!! :)

Klaatu and Kyros are both big muscly boys, very healthy! But poor Kitai is so skinny, because the vets want to him to be as light as possible on his hooves?

Klaatu is going to be my superstar when he is older ;) Although i can just imagine him, at the olympics, gets to the last jump, stops, and just knocks all the poles down with his nose hahahaha he is such a child :p

Woo!

Just finished riding Kyros, he was such a good boy...

After 2 weeks of doing nothing, yesterday he was a bit full of himself, today he was ALOT better..

Although still not as soft and on the bit as he was a few weeks ago..

But!!! He was always lazy with his canter transitions, but today from trot to canter, he would do it with the slightest contact!

Plus there was a man with a chainsaw cutting things down near the arena, so i understand he liked to prick his ears up at that!

Then we did a bit of jumping!! One meter!!! :)

Very proud how well he is going with his jumping..

Excuse the poor positions in some photos haha 2 weeks off.. We need to get back into the groove of things ;p

and the jumping.. still need to organise lessons

They're all so precious!!!!! I soooooo love Golden Retrievers!!!! I do envy you riding your horses though, the only time I've ever ridden one was when I was like 4 years old on a race horse.

I have no clue how I've missed this thread for the past 2 days.

GREAT photos, Tab!! Klaatu looks spectacular, and look at his form when he's jumping!! WOO-HOO!!!

WOW, you're up to a meter with Kyros, that is fantastic!!! :D

All your animals are simply magnificent, Tab!

Thank you everyone!!! :)

They are all precious..

Very proud of Kyros :D Hopefully going to a jumping competition next weekend! So have to do lots of flat work training this week to get him as soft and responsive as he was.. ;)

You know out of everything, the thing that i am the most proud of with Kyros..

Is riding him on roads and trails..

When we got him, the lady said- he can't be ridden on roads, especially if he is alone... He gets nervous and tries to run off, and he hates cars...

Each day Kyros walks along the road, and doesn't even look twice at a car..

I think it was because she didn't do much with him, put him in an arena, road for 10 minutes.. put him away.. and he had the habit of bolting...

So i think he is alot calmer with me, because he trusts me, he realises i am his protector, so as long as i am with him, why would he need to worry?

He just plods along the road, never even pricks his ears up to look at anything..

He is honestly a different horse to when i got him, he is just so much calmer and responsive, doesnt freak out and flare his nostrils like he used to either! :p

Gee, Tab, I'm amazed by Klaatu! He looks so confident and competent: I think you're going to have a star right there! If you don't mind my saying so, he's exactly the right shape for a top dressage mount. AND his trot looks so powerful - I do love a horse with a great backside - just imagine what a huge extended trot he's going to have when he's a big boy! I love the photos of all your guys, but Klaatu just looks so much more grown up all of a sudden: he's a stunner. :)

Haha :D He is a very confident boy!

Klaatu has a lovely body, he is put together very well!

I absolutely love his trot, it looks fantastic! His canter is a bit choppy though ;)

This year we will just do some little dressage days, think he should do fairly well! :)

Still think it is incredible how he turned into this massive beautiful horse from a little dorky yearling ;) hehe

Absolutely spectacular!!!! Maybe when I win the lottery one day I can move out in the country side and have horses... :D
Cause right now I can't afford one nor do I have the time to care for one....They're just such beautiful creatures!!!!! :)

Mikey they are much easier to care for than birds!! ;) hahaha

I am sure you could fit one in the backyard! :p

Its funny, when i was younger, i always wanted a big white horse, thats it, nothing else...

But then i got older, and all i wanted was a big black horse! and now i have 2 :p

Black is very stunning and bold! So gorgeous! :)

Gorgeous horses Tab and cute puppies, too! Thanks for sharing!
