AAAHHHH!!!!!! i kinda got fed up and gave the lady an earfull 8( she was being crazy asking me to get her stuff from albuquerque(4 hour one way) from craigslist!! WTF!! i couldn't hold back on how she's been treating a complete stranger so i kinda went off which was probably a horrible idea for the bird:( she said she was going to take the bird to the dog pound the 2nd week of january because she cant take the bird to dallas for her new job and it dont make a difference to her where the bird goes! UGH!! but i already called every dog pound and animal rescue in my area, gave them my name and number and asked them to call me if anyone brings in a jenday and they agreed!:) so at least she will not be getting money and i can still adopt the poor baby:(( i feel SO bad for that bird but at least she'll be outa that ladies care so thats good.

OMG!!!!! D:
WHY DOESN'T SHE JUST SELL YOU THE BIRD?!?!?!?! She is messed up.. :(

Well hopefully on the 2nd week of January you will have a new birdy to show us pictures of ! :)
Well done for your patience! :p

Idk! the pound people where even like she's a strange one isn't she lol but she was saying that the people would sell the bird for how much she's asking so she'll still get money but when i spoke to them they said they only have an adoption fee of about $10 for birds not her price of $350 so idk what she's trying to do? do you know anything about if they can do that??

I admire your patience with this...I think this woman is certifiable...and of course incredibly annoying!

I agree with admiring your patience.. its hard to be that way with people that are such poor owners..

I know..remember my experience with the ruby. I named him jester, his previous neglectful owner named him meanie..I paid him a visit for two reasons...

first, to see if he had any other birds or other animals that he was neglecting...I was thinking of a bird mill(think puppy mill)

Second, I wanted to knock him into the dirt...but I restrained myself... but I DID inform him in very unfriendly terms, that he killed that beautiful bird.. that birds need to see a vet from time to time.. and that he had better never treat another bird like that again...and that if he did... I'd be back..

And last but not least... he's lucky I didn't turn him in for animal cruelty..

FYI..the cops were called by him, I told the cops what the deal was, let them talk to my vet, and wouldn't you know it..they went and paid the sad sack, another visit..
oops.. that's more than two.. but ya know what.. if WE don't fight for our poor avian friends... then who's going to??

EDIT: I apologize.. I get..shall we say.. agitated, about bad owners...

I agree completely 94lt1 i dont blame you one bit for your actions! i just dont want her to do something to the bird so thats helping my patience. the worst shes doing now is not enough attention and gonna dump her the shelter and id like to keep it at that! the poor bird whos name is picachu btw will have to wait for 2 weeks unfortunetly!
