Parrots
Indian ringneck
I acquired a ring necked parrot 5 months ago, which was thin and had a short tail, possibly cut. The parrot is now healthy with a long, beautiful tail and has likely molted. It eats various foods, including seeds, veggies, and fruits, but not mangos. It's noisy and has started making louder sounds recently. It can't fly well and bites when I puts my hand in the cage, but not when it's outside. The parrot named chili quickly returns to its cage when taken out and is generally timid. It's mainly fed sunflower seeds, veggies, and occasionally apples and green chilis basil coriander mint tomato's spinach. sorry for the weird AI shortened text I'm human if your wondered I used the AI shorten function pls advice on fruits and veggies and if I should change the main course of sunflower seeds thx

I’d recommend getting a seed mix that’s light on sunflower seeds as they’re very fatty.
A small bird probably should only have 2-3 sunflower seeds in a day.

As far as the biting goes when your bird is in its cage, sounds like he’s probably being territorial.

Right, cage territoriality is common with some parrots. Just get him out of sight of his cage , he will be better behaved. And get him off those sunflower seeds, they are killers!
