Hello all, I had Brucie boy at the vets yesterday. Unfortunately it's not looking good, but his wing is fine. He's just experiencing a molt atm.
However, he has muscle wastage on his breast area due to inactivity and struggling to fly, so because he struggles to fly, he can't build it up etc.
and also a respitory problem which we're treating with a course of antibiotics and some antifungals. Bruce is not happy with the syringe but, it's only 0.3ml a day so not too much.
If his respiratory problems doesn't improve then we'll be making another appointment for xrays and stuff to see if there's something else causing his issues.
My poor baby, he's always been a bad flier from day one, so we just looked after him as best we could and just took him as he was.
My vet is fantastic though, so fingers crossed we can sort it. Bruce was pretty well behaved for the vet too
